  The Germ Survival Guide
Here are references to 4Life Research's "Transfer Factor" and Transfer Factor PLUS" from The GERM SURVIVAL GUIDE - (McGraw-Hill, 2003 - 339 pgs.) written by Kenneth A. Bock, M.D., Steven J. Bock, M.D., and Nancy Faass, MSW, MPH (purchase at Amazon.com)

1.) PG 25 ff: Brief definition of Transfer Factors: "Transfer factors are the microscopic blueprints our immune systems rely on to recognize and combat germs." Then follows the authors' recommendation to use Transfer Factors to build immune defenses, and also to triple (at first sign of illness or exposure to illness) both TF and Vitamin C as well as adding Chinese mushrooms and other polysaccharides/herbals for immune boosting, which would be a near equivalent to Transfer Factor PLUS TriFactor™.

2.) PG. 224: Recommendation to take TF before entering the hospital (a hotbed of organisms), especially if facing surgery. Protocol, including Transfer Factor, is given for building up the immune system before admission - to prevent infection - and afterwards to promote more rapid healing.

Nutritional supplements we consider essential when traveling or flying

3.) Quote from chart on Page 258:

"Nutritional supplements we consider essential when traveling or flying include:
  • A good high-potency, balanced multiple vitamin
  • Vitamin C. Typically taken 3,000 to 9,000 mg. (Be sure you know your bowel tolerance level before you travel — high doses of vitamin C can cause diarrhea.)
  • Transfer Factor. Take 6 capsules per day.
  • Immune-enhancing polysaccharides. For added support, take Immpower, Chinese mushrooms, or Transfer Factor Plus, which includes immune supportive polysaccharides."

4.) PG. 264: Refers to recirculating air in airplanes, leading to increased percentages of transmission of flus/colds, etc. Encourages use of Transfer Factor and other immune enhancers before, during, and after traveling by air.

5.) PG. 284, 285: Mentions both Transfer Factor and Transfer Factor PLUS as immune builders on the SARS Treatment Strategies Chart...
  Physician's Desk Reference
